Furniture grade wood veneer can include wood veneer sheets. Some of these veneer sheets are made of bamboo, cherry, mahogany, and oak sheets. There is real wood veneer sheets, peel and stick veneer, iron on wood veneer sheets, and veneer edge banding.
In woodworking, veneer refers to thin slices of wood. They are usually thinner than 3 mm or 1/8 inch, and are glued onto core panels in order to produce flat panels such as doors, tops, and panels for cabinets, parquet floors and various parts of furniture. It is typically, wood, medium-density fiberboard, or particle board. Furniture grade wood veneer are also used in marquetry.
Plywood is made up of three or more layers of veneer.
